Throughout 2022 the burnt orange hue of “Mars Stone” has been expeditiously employed across The Swooshes roster of lifestyle silhouettes. Elsewhere, Jordan Brand has been slowly unveiling its own slate of models for the new year, casting the latter shade as a dominant inclusion on the upcoming grade school-exclusive Air Jordan 3.
Indulging in tooling reminiscent of its ’88 release, vintage tumbled leathers envelop the base layer of the silhouette in a crisp white shade, color-matched through its upper tongue and laces. A titular orange is then harkened to outfit the remaining sections of the upper, emboldening its nylon sock liner, eye stays and perforated quarter overlay. Seldom jet-black contrasts lay claim to the tongues Jumpman and the tread underfoot while opposing samples of “Sail” anchor the back tab, midsole and thin suede mudguard. Centering its mainstay color on the perforated collar, elephant print overlays and sectioned midsole, a dark grey tongue concludes the pair’s design elements.
