Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG WMNS “Olive”
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG WMNS “Olive”
The Travis Scott and Jordan Brand relationship continues with another Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
In the summer of 2022, the artist made an appearance at the Nike World Headquarters for Nike’s Maxim Awards and broke out the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive” colorway — the latest TS x AJ1 installment.
The sneaker features olive on the medial and lateral Swooshes as well as an olive outsole. The rest seems to be similar, with a black suede base and white tumbled leather on the overlays and co-branding throughout with red accenting on the tongue tag.

Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”
Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”
In 2021, we saw the AJ4 “Lightning” colourway receive a long-awaited retro, capturing the Air Jordan 4 hype at the perfect time. However, it wasn’t long before people were asking where the “Thunder” retro was, a shoe that was released during the same year. Now set to drop in 2023, hype around the silhouette is at an all-time high, with many keen to lace up this early 2000s colourway on their feet.
Similar to the AJ4 “Red Thunder” from last year, the upper arrives formed from a synthetic nubuck, unlike the premium nubuck found on the “Lightning”. Yellow mesh underlines the netting on the sidewalls and tongue, making sure the shoe is as breathable as Tinker first designed it to be. A Flight logo is sewn onto the tongue, while on the rear, a white embossed Jumpman stays true to its original ‘06 branding. Another important detail which closely follows the original ‘06 version is the shape of the bottom yellow support Wings, with small triangular side attachments that were not included on the ‘12 edition. Expect regular levels of Air Jordan 4 comfort, as these don’t include the cushioned upgrades that were added to the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green” that dropped back in March.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Spider-Verse”
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Spider-Verse”
Spidey senses are tingling high as the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse x Air Jordan 1 High OG is rumored to release in 2023. This sneaker is a follow-up to the 2018 Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story,” which was released in conjunction with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
While the 2018 pair has a Chicago-esque colorway, this Air Jordan 1 High OG goes for a multi-verse look with different materials and patterns, including patent leather, a translucent red outsole, and a comic book-esque detail on the collar.

Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy”
Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy”
After heading back to ’06 for the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” retro, Jordan Brand rewind the clock once again on this early 2000s make-up. Although the Air Jordan 5 isn’t the most popular out of the numbered Air Jordan line-up, you’ll still find a large group of sneakerheads willing to go toe-to-toe with you on why these deserve the number 1 spot. For the first time since its original release back in 2006, the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” is receiving a retro, with eager Jordan heads hyped about adding these to their collection. Considering most OG pairs are either crumbling, beat or going for a hefty resell, demand for these is sure to be high!
For many, the burgundy hue is now tied to contemporary bangers such as the A Ma Maniére’s collaborative range or even the Air Jordan 7 “Cigar” from the beloved Cigar & Champagne pack that dropped in 2015. However, OGs will know that this retro predates all of the above and if anything, could have been the source of inspiration for those projects. A delicate suede panelling is stitched together with a contrasting silver-grey stitch just as it was on the original. In terms of quality, people are likening this release to the previous AJ5 “UNC” edition from earlier this year, so if you were a fan of those then you’ll want this in the rotation as well.
The retro tooling has also returned thanks to a series of changes from the design team at Jordan Brand, pouring a heavy focus on ensuring the new shape was truer to the original ‘90s version. Branding accents also arrive embroidered in a silver-grey thread, with a set of dark grey laces to complement the palette. The icy bottoms are also here to stay, with an added blue tint which prevents them from yellowing so quickly. Unlike the ’06 edition, there isn’t a retro card in the box or “LS” in the shoe’s title, although for the past decade, the retro editions have been considered more “Lifestyle” than performance compared to the early 2000s.

Air Jordan 4 “Red Cement”
Air Jordan 4 “Red Cement”
The Air Jordan 4 Red Cement plays on the much-adored “White Cement” colourway that debuted back in 1989. While official images of the Air Jordan 4 have yet to surface, the hype around the “Red Cement” colourway has already started to build. As a new round of mock-ups released by way of the infamous sneaker-leaker @zshz , excitement has spiked once again as we take another step closer towards the drop.
Similar to the colour blocking on the highly sought-after Air Jordan 4 “Military Black”, this version boasts a mostly white leather upper. As for the sole unit and wing features, these follow the same colour scheme as the previously mentioned “Cement Grey”, with the grey sections now covered in red with the OG speckled effect. Underneath, the grey lip on the outsole has been left untouched, making it easy to see what ‘star count’ you’re on. Black Jumpman branding is sewn onto the tongue patch as well as embossed onto the heel of the shoe, taking the place of the original Nike Air logo. White laces further the classic look of the shoe and are woven through the traditional Air Jordan 4 eyestays. The shoe keeps it clean and simple, so if you’re not keen on paying a hefty resell price for the “White Cement” from ’16, then opting for this colourway would be a solid choice.

J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Medellín Sunset”
J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Medellín Sunset”
Photographed wearing his upcoming Jordan Brand project throughout Summer ’23, “The Prince of Regaetton” has certainly upped the ante on this collaboration. Tackling the next silhouette within the Air Jordan series, J Balvin has delivered another piece of strong storytelling on this Air Jordan 3, with sneakerheads and fans all eagerly awaiting the drop. Putting aside the loud rainbow colourway from his debut Air Jordan 1 and the light-up tongue on his Air Jordan 2, the “Medellín Sunset” is his most wearable offering to date.
Considering the artist’s global recognition, the hype is already expected to be high, but a viral video of Balvin handing DJ Khaled his sample pair straight from off his feet became the talking point for sneakerheads across the world. With both musicians meeting on a golf course in Miami, Balvin told the internet icon, “We call them Medellin Sunset. You know this is the sunset of my city. I was in Medellin one day, I just took a picture of a beautiful sunset of my city, you know my city is so special man”. Few sneakerheads have pointed out the connection to the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Skyline” due to the use of gradient hues, a technique that has continued to dominate the footwear industry over the last few years.
Based on the same tooling as the “White Cement Reimagined” iteration, the upper is constructed out of off-white leather, with the iconic elephant print also formed from sail hues. Just like the recent Air Jordan 1 High x UNION LA x Bephie’s Beauty Supply collaboration, the panel edges and bottom eyelets are subtly painted in yellow, complementing the sunset hues on the rear and Jumpman on the tongue. Of course, all eyes are drawn towards the sunset detailing on the heel and midsole, reflecting the many shades that Balvin captured in his photo of the Medellín skyline. From a bright orange all the way down to a deep purple, the gradient is certainly one of the most pleasing that has graced the Air Jordan lineup. Fans of the AJ3 will also be happy to see the return of the “Nike Air” branding, while the right depicts Balvin’s signature smiley face logo with thunderbolt eyes, which unfortunately has nothing to do with the legendary fragment design moniker.

Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs”
Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs”
It’s been almost 10 years since we’ve seen the Jordan 8 “Playoffs” being retro’d. A lot has changed in sneaker culture since 2013 but the 8’s continue to be received well by Jordan heads. Michael Jordan wore this particular colourway during Game 6 of the 1993 NBA Finals, where he secured the Chicago Bulls the ‘threepeat’ against the Phoenix Sun’s. With the legend himself winning his third NBA ring in this silhouette, there will always be room for this shoe in the hearts of Jordan fans.
The Jordan 8s is arguably the most basketball-centric looking shoe from the 1-15 collection. This also makes them a solid choice to ball in as the strap provides a strong lockdown, a popular design feature amongst shoes released in the 90’s. The black suede on the upper also makes this a durable shoe as dirt won’t show up easily on them. The chenille jumpman logo on the tongue is a luxurious touch on a shoe that seems so focused on the game.

Air Jordan 12 “Cherry”
Air Jordan 12 “Cherry”
When it comes to Original Air Jordan colourways, the “Cherry” Air Jordan 12 is definitely among the best of them. While the AJ12 has yet to be adopted by the mainstream sneakerhead, those who are lucky enough to have watched Michael Jordan playing during the ’96-97 season will tell you first hand, how good they looked gliding up and down the court.
It’s been over 10 years since we’ve last seen the “Cherry” AJ12 drop in 2009, so news of a retro would have undoubtedly been a happy surprise for fans of the silhouette. The white quilted leather, red pebbled mudguard and silver eyelets are a warm return to what some may consider the pinnacle of Jordan Brand’s ‘90s Basketball design. As these have always boasted more of a functional Basketball aesthetic than earlier Jordan models, we look forward to seeing how they’ll fit into the lifestyle trends of 2023.

The “Fear Pack” was inspired by the “Become Legendary” marketing campaign that was released in 2008. Starring Carmelo Anthony, Derek Jeter, Rip Hamilton, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, and Chris Paul, the campaign was launched in conjunction with the iconic “Look Me in the Eyes” commercial.

A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5 “Dawn”
A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 5
Atlanta-based streetwear and sneaker boutique A Ma Maniére channels the importance of unity in its latest collaboration with Jordan Brand, featuring two colourways of the iconic Air Jordan 5 alongside a luxurious apparel collection. Divided into “Dusk” and “Dawn” colourways, the James Whitner-led brand dropped a short film titled “Still We Rise” to celebrate the collaboration. The Jordan 5 A Ma Maniére “Dawn” edition boasts unique storytelling, headlining the AJ5 with a stunning colour palette and pre-aged aesthetics.
Having recently dropped several collaborations featuring the Air Jordan 12 and Jordan Air Ship, A Ma Maniére revisits another early Air Jordan Retro model. Unlike the “Dusk” edition, this iteration has a light grey nubuck leather construction with pre-aged accents encompassing the lace locks, lower tongue, and plastic cages on the sides, flaunting A Ma Maniére monogram patterns that form a unique detail. These patterns also appear on the dark blue jacquard inner lining. Co-branded logos adorn the slimmed-down tongue and its interior as a nod to their productive alliance. “23” branding on the lateral rear represents Michael Jordan’s legendary jersey number, while the Nike Air on the heel adds a retro touch to the fighter jet-inspired Air Jordan model. The black PU midsole carries a visible Nike Air unit and a shark teeth design on the forefoot. A yellowish translucent rubber sole wraps up this premium take on the AMM x Air Jordan V “Dawn”.
The collection continues A Ma Maniere’s mission of centering the Black experience as the visuals and story draw inspiration from Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise” poem and James Baldwin’s “To be African American is to be African without any memory and American without any privilege” quote.

The panelled upper arrives in dark blue, with breathable mesh inserts in a tonal hue peeking through at the medial side. The exaggerated tongue and faceted outsole pick up the icy hue again. Air Jordan 4 ‘Craft Olive’
Air Jordan 4 ‘Craft Olive’
Jordan Brand is blessing sneakerheads with another tasteful Air Jordan 4 in November 2023. After the huge success of the AJ4 Craft SE “Photon Dust” in early 2023, it was clear that not even the updated retail price could stop people from copping. Landing in an autumn-ready shade of olive, there is undoubtedly a lot of demand surrounding the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Olive”.
Formed from a range of nubuck, suede and leather, Jordan Brand is leaving no stone unturned on this Craft edition. Wrapping around the mid-portion of the upper is premium olive nubuck, overlayed by a rough suede across the toe and forefoot area. The usual TPU Wing eyelets are now formed from supple black leather, while the usual sidewall netting steps aside for what Nike is calling “a tactile take on the original”. Cream Jumpman branding is sewn onto the tongue label, with the iconic AJ4 heel tab detailing an embossed Jumpman yet again. Underfoot lies the standard AJ4 sole unit, with the exposed Air unit looking just as fresh as when it debuted back in ‘89.
Thanks to the assortment of plush suedes and updated tooling, the Jordan 4 “Olive” boasts extra levels of comfort compared to general release versions, giving you yet another reason to cop. As with the previous Craft SE iteration, make sure to take your usual Air Jordan 4 UK sizing to avoid disappointment!
Regardless of whether you’re calling these the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Olive” or Jordan 4 “Olive Green” doesn’t matter because these are undeniably a fire addition to your rotation.

Air Jordan 3 “Doernbecher XIX”
Air Jordan 3 “Doernbecher XIX”
Nike’s Doernbecher program will continue with another round of children-designed, hospital-benefiting products. This year’s collection will include an all-new Air Jordan.
The 2023 Air Jordan 3 “Doernbecher” was designed by Hugo “Juice” Covarrubias Molina who was diagnosed with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, are disorder that causes one side of his body to grow larger than the other.
His style is represented on the shoe with his nickname Juice (which is jugo in Spanish) – with the cool factor dripping over the upper. On the outsole, you’ll find words to live by: It’s okay to be different.

Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude”
Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude”
Jordan heads are rubbing their hands at the sight of this new Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” edition, eager to cop after a nearly two-decade wait. Excited doesn’t even begin to describe the hype around this Jordan 11 “DMP Gratitude”, having not seen a re-release for over 15 years, pairs have all but dwindled, most likely beaten through the early 2010s era when Jordan 11’s were the ‘it’ silhouette. Bar a few box fresh pairs which do still exist, the 2023 retro is your best chance at owning the coveted make-up. This AJ11 “Gratitude” is expected to be limited, so you’ll want to stay one step ahead of the game on this drop.
Based on the infamous “Concord” colourway, the DMP (Defining Moments Pack) celebrated the shoe that Michael Jordan wore during his fourth championship ring while also paying homage to his second three-peat era. Back in 2006, the pack included an Air Jordan 6, which saw a retro in 2020 and was well received by fans of the silhouette. Now it’s the AJ11’s turn, combining a supple white leather with a black patent leather, a signature look that has had Jordan heads in a choke hold since the late ‘90s.
The 2023 retro edition boasts a higher cut on the patent leather, similar to the OG tooling from other recent AJ11 releases. Unique to the DMP pack is the addition of the gold Jumpman logo and 23 on the heel, representing the championship status that Jordan obtained with the 11s laced up on his feet. A phylon midsole, carbon shank plate and a semi-translucent outsole fit the exact same specs as the ’06 version, featuring a full length Air unit inside that provides a spring to your step. The “Gratitude” Jordan 11 also arrives in a black and white draw box bearing gold Jumpman branding, while the inside lid fits into the theme by reading “Thank You” in the typical AJ11 font.
